Vinařství Dobrovolný se nachází v obci Nový Šaldorf , která spadá do Znojemské vinařské podoblasti. Obec, ve které naleznete víc jak 200 vinných sklepů, leží u historického královského města Znojmo a Národního parku Podyjí.

Vinařství Dobrovolný disponuje rozsáhlým komplexem sklepních chodeb tesaných v pískovci. Sklep je v rámci celého komplexu Modrých sklepů v Novém Šaldorfu unikátní tím, že je vytesán do pískovce ve slohu gotickém, zatímco většina ostatních sklepů má charakter klenby románské.

Dnešní funkční podoba sklepa si vyžádala nákladnou rekonstrukci. Rekonstrukcí objektu sklepa sousedícího s již existujícím komplexem byl vybudován penzion s kapacitou 28 lůžek ve dvoulůžkových pokojích s vlastním sociálním zařízením.
