Vinařství Dobrovolný lies in the village of Nový Šaldorf , which belongs to the Znojmo wine sub-region. The village, where you will find more than 200 wine cellars, sits close to the historic royal town of Znojmo and the Podyjí National Park.

Vinařství Dobrovolný has an extensive complex of cellar passages carved into sandstone. Within the whole Modré sklepy complex in Nový Šaldorf this cellar is unique in being carved into the sandstone in the Gothic style, while most of the other cellars have Romanesque vaulting.

The present working form of the cellar called for a costly renovation. By rebuilding the cellar premises next to the existing complex, a guesthouse was created with a capacity of 28 beds in double rooms with their own bathrooms.
