This exceptionally situated holiday cottage is built directly on the bank of the Orlík reservoir, set in beautiful natural surroundings amid forests, just under 200 metres from a lovely beach. The Orlík reservoir — one of the largest water bodies in the Czech Republic — offers endless opportunities for swimming, boating, and water sports, and this cottage puts all of that literally at your fingertips. The property is very nicely furnished, with a built-up floor area of 50 m2.

The cottage layout includes a basement with a living room and kitchenette, a ground floor with a bedroom, bathroom, and separate WC, and an attic with a second bedroom — a spacious and comfortable base for the whole family. Guests have access to an unfenced garden of 400 m2 with garden seating under a pergola, a fireplace, and a sun umbrella. A particular highlight is the rowing boat moored directly on the lake, available to guests free of charge — the boat is fitted with a mount for an electric outboard motor (you can bring your own motor, or hire one for approximately 1,000 CZK; please note that you must bring your own car battery). Important: bed linen is not provided at this property — guests must bring their own!

The landscape around the Orlík reservoir is a true invitation to explore: romantic countryside walks, lake cruises, and visits to the local castles. The magnificent Orlík and Zvíkov castles — two of the most stunning castle landmarks rising above the reservoir — have been enchanting history lovers and romantics for centuries. CH-466 — Holiday cottage with a heated pool and hot tub

This newly renovated holiday house stands by the forest, 400 m from the river Otava, which flows directly into the Orlík lake. The property lies on the edge of a smaller recreational area, 7 km from the town of Písek. It is a great base for a pleasant holiday including swimming, mushroom picking and fishing. The surroundings offer a large number of cycling trails leading through the historic part of Písek and the wider area, to Zvíkov Castle 7 km away and Orlík Chateau 18 km away (both with a steamboat landing). Guests have the use of a fenced plot (700 m2) with a covered garden pergola including a fireplace and a fridge, a roofed pool of 3 x 5 m (where the water stays pleasantly warm even in cooler weather), a court for lazy tennis (a soft racket game), football goals and a children's playground with swings, a slide, a playhouse for the little ones and a basketball hoop.

A good asphalt access road leads to the property. Bicycles can be stored in a locked woodshed. The built-up area of the house is 80 m2. From April all the way to October the pool water can be heated to 30°C by a heat pump. A cooled beer dispensing unit with complete equipment can be used for a fee of 500,- Kč/stay; beer can be ordered from the owner of the property or you can bring your own. The pool cannot be used during the winter months. A Finnish sauna is available in the property. Towels and bath towels are not provided.
