The area of Balaton offers very nice climate and wide holiday, sport and cultural enjoyment. The average water temperature in summer is 25° C, most of the beaches are grass, stone or sandy. The most frequent tourist activities are sailing, fishing at Balaton and other water sports. The northern coast is more rugged with steeper entrance to the water and is characterized especially by the viticulture. Siófok: is the most frequented spa area on the southern coastline of the Balaton lake. Balatonberény: this quiet village is perfect for families with children and all guests who prefer peace. The pride of the village is a large grass beach with wide offer of holiday activities, restaurants and playgrounds providing nice rest in the shadow of the trees. The beach is paid, a week ticket is about 250 CZK (daily ticket up to 40 CZK). Nearby (cca 5 km) you can find an open-air museum Battyánpuszta with the exhibition of historical folk creation, a free enclosure for animals and a small castle with exposures showing the life in the Middle Ages, a torture etc.

Tihany (northern coast): the Tihany peninsula, the pearl of the Balaton lake is a protected area, the sight of which are the inner lake and the abbey. The water with mineral springs will refresh body and soul. The hills are lined with grapes and tempt to stop and taste local wine. You can find here busy tourism, many souvenirs, houses with thatches and big choice of restaurants. From the southern coast you can easily get here by the ferry from Szántódu which goes every 40 minutes in summer.

Balatonfüred: the town and its surroundings offer tourists natural beauty and attractivity. It is a smaller town with 13.500 people. It is located on the nothern coastline of the Balaton lake and is surrounded by the hills of Badacsonu. Since 1971 this town has become a prominent spa resort and the "International town of grapes and wine". Besides swimming and trip to the countryside Balatonfüred offers wide choice of various complementary programs.
